We are looking for a Data Protection Officer to ensure our organization processes the personal data of its staff, customers, providers, or any other individuals in compliance with the applicable data protection rules. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GDPR and other relevant data protection laws, and will be responsible for monitoring internal compliance, informing and advising on data protection obligations, and acting as a point of contact for data subjects and supervisory authorities. The Data Protection Officer (DPO) will play a critical role in fostering a data protection culture within the organization and help implement essential elements of the GDPR, such as the principles of data processing, data subjects’ rights, data protection by design and by default, records of processing activities, and security of processing. The DPO will also be responsible for conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), training staff involved in data processing, and conducting audits to ensure compliance. This role requires excellent communication skills, as the DPO will need to liaise with various departments and external stakeholders. The DPO must also stay up to date with changes in data protection laws and practices and ensure that the organization adapts accordingly. The successful candidate will be ethical, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. The DPO will report directly to the highest management level of the organization and must operate independently, without receiving any instructions regarding the exercise of their tasks. This independence is crucial to ensure unbiased and effective oversight of data protection practices. If you are passionate about privacy, data protection, and compliance, and want to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic organization, we encourage you to apply for this important role.
